Overview |
|
|
|
|
The Computer
Workshop is a new "education otherwise" educational
service that teaches young people how to maintain and
repair PCs (Personal Computers) in a safe and
stimulating environment. |
|
|
Providing an
alternative vocational curriculum, it is designed to
enable young people, who struggle in mainstream
schooling, to develop their self esteem, confidence and
build a true sense of achievement, whilst at the same
time obtaining valuable nationally recognised
qualifications. |

What Our Young
People Say about the Project ! |
|
|
|
"I
like it at the Computer Workshop because I'm
treated like an adult. I turn up every week
because I enjoy what I'm doing and I pay
attention because this is something I'm
interested in doing when I leave school." -
Mark Trott. |
|
|
"I
like coming here because I know I'm getting
something out of it. They treat you with
respect. I succeed because I put the effort into
my work and I enjoy what I'm doing. When I start
work I would like to either run my own business
or work for Microsoft and the skills that
I am learning here will help me achieve that."
- Tino Podesta. |
|
|
"I
like to come to the Computer Workshop because it
is a good place to learn. The teachers are great
and they will listen to you first." - Moison
Khan. |
|
|
"I
enjoy my time here. It is a lot different to
what I have to do at school. There are less
people to work with and and we can work at the
rate we want to. This course is more relevant to
what I want to do with my life." - Michael. |
